Cutting height of the TR-700 has 70 ft. of reach. From the TSE Timberland Mechanical Tree Trimmer Model TR700 Specs: Trimming Implement and Cutterhead Using two equal length booms that move at variable speeds the operator can quickly position the 60" cutter head up and down the face of the right-of-way in a swath cutting motion. This operation produces a smooth, even cut that is aesthetically acceptable. The booms are supported and partially positioned by a Tilt Frame mounting structure that helps keep the machine's center of gravity low and eliminates the need for an expensive to maintain turntable. The superior production speed of the machine is due to the booms, power line, and face of the right-of-way all being parallel during trimming operations. The cutterhead used three, independent, 24" high speed saws. The operator can hydraulically revolve the saws through 180 degrees on the end of the boom stopping at any intermittent position. Additionally, the head can swing from left to right through 135 degrees. This multi positioning capability allows the operator to trim on the left or right side of the machine as wall as flat to make a horizontal cut. If overhanging limbs are encountered the nimble cutting head can be positioned very precisely to quickly make several small cuts and allow the debris to fall through the phases.
